The team behind the Essential Phone ‘teases’ the OSOM OV1 interface and security cable

OSOM is a privacy-focused smartphone brand, with a core engineering team building the Essential PH-1. OSOM Privacy recently posted some new pictures of the upcoming OV1 smartphone.

The image shows a secure USB-C cable, along with part of the OV1 interface when the monitor is on. The company calls the cable the USB-C Privacy Cable, and included with the device, it has a switch that lets users decide whether to use it only for power or allow data transmission.

OSOM Privacy also revealed the front of the OV1 phone with the screen on for the first time. We can see that the lower border is quite thick. The company has also detailed the materials of the OV1 and it will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 series chip. The OV1 is made of stainless steel, ceramic, and glass. The company promises more than a day of battery life and a price tag of less than $1,000.
