Revealing the extreme features that distinguish iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14-Hi-tech fashion

There is growing evidence that this year’s high-end iPhone 14 Pro models and regular models will differ in more ways than just their screens and cameras.

Not long after researcher Ming-chi Kuo said that only Pro models will have the new A16 Bionic chip, 9to5Mac magazine corroborated this information, adding that the satellite data transmission feature is expected to be available on iPhone 13 will be included in the line iPhone 14″ Pro.

This report corroborates rumors that the 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini will not have a successor. Instead, the iPhone 14 series will have a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max with codenames D27 and D88, respectively, while the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max 6.7 inch is codenamed D73 and D74 respectively.

The Pro models are expected to have the same resolution as their predecessors, which means the iPhone 14 Pro will feature a 1170 x 2532 pixel display, while the Pro Max display has a 1284 x 2778 pixel resolution.

The new report also adds that the Pro variant of the iPhone 14 will have slightly taller screens than the older models, which means they will have a different aspect ratio than the 19.5:9 on the current variants. This will make the phone look narrower, but Apple probably won’t copy the 21:9 aspect ratio of the Sony Xperia 1 III.

The reason behind this design is said to stem from the dual camera setup placed in the pill-shaped punch hole as well as the new hole expected to replace the notch on the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.

2013 was the last time Apple divided its smartphone range by chip type explicitly. On the other hand, if we pay attention to detail, the A15 Bionic chip in the iPhone 13 Pro models has an extra GPU core. While the A15 Bionic is based on a 5nm manufacturing process, the A16 Bionic is rumored to be based on a more advanced 4nm manufacturing process, making it faster and more energy efficient.

It’s not clear why Apple broke with a decades-old tradition of equipping the same chip on its new high-end iPhone series, but Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman suggests that it could be related to a supply shortage.

The difference between the Pro version and the regular iPhone 14 series also includes RAM technology, with LPDDR5 used on the more efficient Pro version. It is likely that the 120 Hz screen will still be exclusive to the Pro variants, while the Pro version will also come with a more prominent new 48 MP camera.

Finally, the new report also says that the satellite communication feature that Apple is said to have been working on since 2017 may appear in this year’s lineup. The system is internally known as “Stewie,” and the company is said to be testing a prototype that could send messages via satellite, eliminating the need for cellular service.

The iPhone 14 series is expected to officially launch in September this year.
