In addition, the collective of people in two villages that had a fight with Company workers (including Can Ho B village and Lu Khau village, Ngu Chi Son commune) was supported 20 million VND each.

The report also stated that the cause of the scuffle was that during the construction of the hydroelectric project, there were 3 households raising 3 salmon farms downstream of the dam.

Although the farm area of ​​these 3 households is not in the area that needs to be cleared for the project, but because they are afraid that the construction hydropower project will deplete the water source, affecting fish farming, the households need to be careful. has repeatedly blocked the construction of hydroelectricity.

The investor side, May Ho Energy Co., Ltd. had previously met and had a dialogue to capture the people’s thoughts and aspirations, but the people asked for too much support, so the two sides did not agree.

Until March 14, May Ho Energy Company Limited still allowed the construction unit (An Phu company) to carry out the construction and leveling. When seeing the construction unit, the households came out to prevent it, leading to the incident.

According to the report of the People’s Committee of Sa Pa town about the incident, at 11 a.m. on March 14, when the hydropower construction site was under construction in Lu Khau village, Ngu Chi Son commune, about 20 people came out to block their heads. vehicle and did not allow construction, around 2pm the two sides clashed, the households threw stones at the construction workers and the team of workers at the hydropower plant used sticks to beat them. When the commune police and Ngu Chi Son Commune People’s Committee arrived at the scene, the fighting ended.
