Blue Origin postpones the launch of a space tourist ship
In a statement on Twitter, Blue Origin did not provide an explanation for the change or Davidson’s withdrawal from the company’s fourth commercial flight.
Previously, on March 14, Davidson, 28 years old, the boyfriend of reality TV star Kim Kardashian, was selected as the “guest of honor” of Blue Origin to join a space tourism flight with 5 guests. Other paid goods are scheduled for March 23.
These passengers include investor Marty Allen; real estate expert Marc Hagle and his wife Sharon Hagle; Professor Jim Kitchen at the University of North Carolina and George Nield – Founding President of Commercial Space Technologies.
Blue Origin’s announcement on March 17 said that because Davidson can’t join the upcoming trip, the company will announce a sixth member in a few days.
Like the first three groups of Blue Origin passengers, the passengers on the fourth flight will board a fully autonomous, six-decker spacecraft called the New Shepard. The spacecraft was launched from Blue Origin’s launch pad near the town of Van Horn, in the western US state of Texas.
