The donation of the Fatherland flag to fishermen who are fishing in distant seas aims to encourage, cheer and affirm that the mainland always looks towards the sea and islands of the homeland, towards the brave fishermen who stick to the sea, thereby affirming that sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland.

Being well aware of the importance of borders, sea and islands for the cause of national construction and defense, over the past time, the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has focused on propagating and organizing many activities. aimed at mobilizing union members and young people towards the border and islands.

Thereby, contributing to raising awareness of young people about territorial sovereignty and national border security; at the same time, creating motivation for union members and young people to express their creativity, further promote the role of a shock attack on the front lines, in the front lines of the country.

In the morning of the same day, a representative of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union visited and presented gifts to the District Military Command and the Border Guard Station of Phu Quy port.

Phu Quy is an island district in Binh Thuan province, located about 56 nautical miles (120km) from the mainland to the Southeast, with a natural area of ​​17km.²population is about 30,000 people.

Last year, despite facing difficulties due to unfavorable weather, fishermen on Phu Quy island were still determined to stick to the sea and fishing grounds. In addition to encouraging fishermen to invest in building new large-capacity ships, the development of a fleet of logistics services (purchasing and processing seafood at sea) is creating favorable conditions for fishermen to stick to the sea for a long time, save money. Save transportation costs, improve fishing value.

Currently, Phu Quy has the largest seafood logistics fleet in Binh Thuan province with about 140 ships, specializing in purchasing seafood and providing fuel for offshore fishing fleets.
