Little cheetah chases the lion, protects the young

Photographer Kisemei Saruni captured this chase at the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya, South Africa.

“The lion was walking around the territory when he spotted the cheetah and its cubs. It rushed towards the cubs. Initially the mother leopard surrendered and ran away, but then it changed its mind and chased the lion back. death”, Saruni said.

After the lion left the lawn, the mother leopard approached the cubs and listened for movement around.

The cheetah lives throughout the plains of eastern and southern Africa. They are the fastest animals on Earth, able to gallop at speeds of up to 120 km/h when hunting.

Cheetahs live alone, often raising their cubs alone. During the day, they hide their burrows in nests, teaching their children to hunt.
