Mr. Foo’s departure comes as Grab faces scrutiny from investors for its growth prospects and rapid cash burn. The company’s stock has lost more than half of its value since its IPO through a merger with SPAC in December. This startup was founded in 2021 by Foo, Gennady Medvinsky and Elston Sam. They raised $2.7 million in a seed round last month from investors including Sequoia Capital, Hustle Fund and Venturra Capital.

Grab’s share price has dropped from $13.06 per share (opening price on December 2, 2021) to $3.29 per share on March 10, 2022. From a market capitalization of 40 billion USD when IPO, Grab’s market capitalization is only 12.3 billion USD.
