On the morning of March 30, the National Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting issued a warning about ultraviolet rays (UV). Accordingly, the UV index in Ho Chi Minh City today is at a very high level (7.5 – 10.4).

The UV index was at a very high level between 10am and 1pm today. Notably, at 12 o’clock, this indicator will reach 11, which is the purple warning level (above 10.5).

On March 30, the maximum UV index also remained within a very high risk of harm in many localities in the Central and Southern regions such as: Dear Thien – Hue, Da Nang, Hoi An – Quang Nam, Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa, Can Tho, Ca Mau.

Experts recommend that people limit going outdoors during noon, and should stay in the shade. People need to carefully cover up, apply sunscreen, wear sunglasses, and wear a hat when going out.

It is forecasted that in the next 2 days, the UV index in Ho Chi Minh City will continue to maintain at a very high risk of harm, then decrease to a high risk of harm.
