Police have just arrested 8 people related to the case of 2 groups of young men fighting with machetes, with gunfire at the night market area of Tan Bien ward, Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province.
On March 30, Bien Hoa City Police coordinated with Tan Bien Ward Police to arrest 8 people in Tran Quang Quyen’s gang (SN 2004, living in Tan Bien ward); Nguyen Ngoc Khanh (SN 2004, living in Tan Phu district); Nguyen Minh Tam (Ty ho, born 1994, living in Trang Dai ward); Nguyen Truong Vi (Vi fat, born 1999, living in Ho Nai ward); Ha Nhat Minh (Minh mi, SN 2004, lives in Tan Hiep ward); Tran Nguyen Khanh Toan (SN 2005); Nguyen Ngoc Nam (SN 2002) and Nguyen Ngoc Thanh (SN 2004, living in Ho Nai ward).

According to the initial investigation, stemming from a conflict between Quyen and a group of Ho Nhat Nam’s subjects (whose background is unknown, living in Trang Dai ward), the two sides made an appointment via Facebook at the “blood war” location.
As scheduled, at the end of the night of March 26, Ho Nhat Nam’s group consisted of 20 people traveling by motorbike, carrying machetes and knives, while Tran Quang Quyen’s group of 7 subjects also carried weapons.
The two groups met at the gate of the Tan Bien ward night market and plunged into a melee. At this time, a subject in Ho Nhat Nam’s group pulled out a gun-like object and continued to pursue Quyen’s group. Disappointed, Quyen’s group had to flee.
Angry, Tran Quang Quyen borrowed a rubber bullet gun from Nguyen Ngoc Nam in Ho Nai ward. On the night of March 27, Quyen invited more accomplices with guns and machetes to go to the junction of Thanh Hoa market, Trang Dai ward to make an appointment with Ho Nhat Nam’s group to completely settle the resentment.

Searching Nguyen Ngoc Nam’s residence in Quarter 10, Ho Nai Ward, Bien Hoa City, the police agency seized a rubber bullet gun; 8 fireworks explosions and 2 bags of exploding fireworks (weighing more than 10kg).
