Education and Times newspaper organizes art talent contest for students from 6 to 17 years old

This is a playground for students aged 6 to 17 (who are studying from grade 1 to grade 12); have passion, qualities, aptitude and love for the arts in the following contents: Singing, music, dance, dance, sports, fashion shows, acting (hosting, story telling). The program is coordinated by Education and Times Newspaper, DES Group and a number of units.

Contestants are Vietnamese and foreigners living and studying in Vietnam who can listen, speak, read and understand Vietnamese.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan An Viet, Deputy Director of the Department of Political Education and Student Affairs (Ministry of Education and Training), said that “School Star” will help students have more motivation, reduce mental stress. after a long absence from face-to-face school.

Meritorious Artist Tran Ly Ly, Director of the Department of Performing Arts, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the program can help children have more experiences, more health, joy, and best learning. .

Ms. Ly hopes that at this playground, teachers and students will have a real experience, not a competition to become “stars”.

School Star is organized in 4 rounds: Preliminary round – Online interaction; Competition round; round Talent; Final Round – Shine.

Pre-qualification round – Online interaction (expected from April 7, 2022 to June 15, 2022): Candidates submit their application and submit the contest content in the online form. The contest content is a self-recorded clip of a performance showing the contestants’ talents (maximum duration of 5 minutes).

Competition Round (expected to take place from the end of June to the end of July): Organize the competition in groups of schools, or clusters of districts, or clusters of provinces/cities. Candidates can show their talents on stage, with full technical equipment, sound and light suitable for the performance.

Talent Round (1 day, scheduled time in mid-August): About 100 contestants with the highest scores in the Competition round will be selected for the Talent round. This round will be held in one of the three regions: North – Central – South. Contestants perform on a professional stage and are scored by the Jury.

Final Round – Shine (1 day, scheduled time in the last week of August): 25 contestants with the highest scores in the Talent round will be selected for this round. This round will take place at a big stage in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City.

A special feature of the program is that from the Online Interaction round, the contestants have been able to participate in online interactive sessions with experts on improving the talent performance; communicate, confidently appear in front of the crowd; promote ability – aptitude; How to use costumes, makeup, impressive performance accessories, age appropriate, …

All finalists will be invited to the awards ceremony. Winners will perform art performances that are consulted, directed, staged and supported by the organizers. Famous artists and experts will perform and interact with award winners on the big stage.
