Eating avocados in the right dose helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease

According to a study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association recently, people with the habit of eating avocados in general were found to have better heart health than people of the same age who did not eat the high-fat fruit. this healthy.

To come to this conclusion, researchers followed more than 110,000 medical professionals over a period of 30 years. Starting in 1986, this group of experts responded to a survey every two years. The results showed that people who ate about 1 avocado per week had a 16% lower risk of cardiovascular disease and a 21% lower risk of coronary heart disease than those who never or rarely ate avocados.

Compared to other high-fat foods, avocados contain more monounsaturated fatty acids, which have been shown to benefit heart health by lowering bad cholesterol. Avocados are also rich in magnesium, which has the potential to reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.

However, the team behind this study also emphasizes that not everyone can use avocado regularly. Most of the experts who participated in the survey were white, and self-reported dietary information always contained some bias. Even so, the American Heart Association recommends that avocados, along with other fruits and vegetables, be an extremely important part of any healthy diet.
