Dong Nai: Need to promote Long Thanh hi-tech industrial park

Long Thanh Hi-tech Industrial Park project has an area of about 410 hectares, located in two communes of Tam An, An Phuoc and Long Thanh town. This is the province’s first hi-tech industrial park project, which is expected to attract many foreign direct investment enterprises in the hi-tech field to lease land and build factories when completed. In June 2015, the People’s Committee of Dong Nai province issued a decision to establish the project and issue an investment certificate to Amata Long Thanh Urban Joint Stock Company (belonging to Amata Group of Thailand).

The project is divided into two phases for construction. Phase 1 from 2015-2017 and phase 2 from 2017-2020 with a total investment capital of over 282 million USD.

Directing to solve problems, Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee asked Amata Long Thanh Company to coordinate with the Management Board of Dong Nai Industrial Parks to adjust and supplement the content of the investment certificate according to the guidance of the Ministry of Finance. This will serve as a legal basis for the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to handle land allocation and land lease procedures according to regulations.

In addition, the province also assigned the Provincial Management Board of Industrial Parks to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant units in, reviewing project documents; study the guidance of the General Department of Land Management, the legal provisions on investment, land and consult the Ministry of Planning and Investment for specific guidance.
