According to NDTV, on April 13, a dramatic video recorded in Jaisalmer city, Rajasthan state (India) went viral on social media. In it recorded the moment all 5 men were swallowed by a “death pit” in the blink of an eye. It was thought that they could not escape the moment of death, but the unexpected happened.
The site of the accident is a car repair shop near a train station in Baba Bawdi area, Baba Bawdi district, Jaisalmer city, northern India, on April 7.

Video taken by the security camera at the auto repair shop shows four men standing on the sidewalk chatting. Another person is sitting and changing tires for a motorbike. All 5 people huddled in one place.
This can cause the concrete slab covering the drain below to not support the weight and break. The group fell below, the motorbike also fell.

Nearby witnesses saw the incident and rushed to help. Fortunately, the sewer below was not full of water, so only 1 minute later, the group climbed up by themselves in the anxiety and sigh of the people around. It is not clear if they were injured in the incident.
People often open tire repair shops on roadside sidewalks and on sewers like this in many cities in India. Some concrete slabs covering the culvert have deteriorated and need to be replaced to avoid similar situations.
Fortunately, no one was killed in this rare accident
This is considered a great luck because earlier, in July 2018, a man lost his life in New Delhi city after slipping his foot down a sewer. The incident happened at JJ Colony Industrial Park, Mayapuri. The 29-year-old man was on his way home when he fell into the sewer and died.
The victim’s neighbor said that due to the influence of heavy rain, the sewer was flooded and because it was unusually dark that day, it was almost impossible to detect the hole. When passers-by realized that someone was in trouble, they quickly pulled him up and took him to a nearby hospital but did not survive.
