Honda Civic (Japanese: Honda Shibikku) is a C-class car (Compact car) manufactured by Honda, Japan. The car was first introduced in July 1972 and is currently in its 11th generation.

Honda Civic has been entering the Vietnamese market since 2006. The 11th generation of this model has just launched to Vietnamese customers on February 16, 2022 with many major upgrades.

The Honda Civic 2022 has a stiffer body and floor structure, an improved chassis, along with some tweaks to the suspension and steering system, helping to enhance performance and driving feeling.

Exterior

The Honda Civic 2022 is somewhat more neutral than the old model by lengthening the hood, moving the A-pillar back 50 mm and lowering the windows by 25 mm. This change received a lot of controversy because many people think that it has somewhat reduced the youthful, sporty style before. On the other hand, many people are quite excited about the pure and elegant beauty of the new Civic.

The car’s length x width x height is 4,678 x 1,802 x 1,415 (mm), which is 30mm longer, 3mm wider, 1mm lower than its predecessor; wheelbase reached 2,733 mm, increased to 35 mm.

The front end is completely redesigned with a glossy black painted grille, connecting the modern lighting system. With the most advanced version, the RS badge is mounted just above the grille. The air intakes are prominently shaped, the fog lamp sockets have additional decorative panels.

In the E version, the headlights, fog lights and overhead brake lights are still halogen. Moving to the G version, the lighting system is upgraded to LED, except for the brake lights. In the RS version, modern LED technology is applied to the entire vehicle’s lighting system.

The body of the Honda Civic 2022 receives many refinements, especially the wheels with 16 – 17 – 18 inch size options for each version from low to high. The textures inside the new design are completely personal and eye-catching.

Honda Civic 2022 RS version has details such as rearview mirror, door handles, shark fin antenna, and tailgate all painted black, emphasizing the distinctive sporty style. In the two versions below, these details are in the same body color.

Observed from the side, the Honda Civic 2022 still has the appearance of a coupe by the A-pillar design moving back 50 mm. The former C-shaped taillights have now been tweaked, providing a more attractive look to the rear area.

Interior

Honda Civic 2022 has a completely refreshed interior compartment in the direction of minimalism, luxury and user-friendly. The steering wheel is still 3-spoke with integrated control buttons, redesigned gear lever shorter and leather wrapped.

The E version is equipped with a 7-inch central screen that connects Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The multi-information screen is also 7 inches in size. Felt-covered car seats, manual adjustment; 1 zone automatic air conditioner; Audio 4 speakers.

The G version has additional air-conditioning vents for the rear seats; Sound upgraded to 8 speakers.

The most advanced RS version is enhanced with a series of modern conveniences such as leather-wrapped steering wheel and driver’s seat; paddle shifters and sport driving modes; 10.2 inch Full LCD instrument cluster; 9-inch entertainment screen, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly; 2-zone automatic air conditioning; Bose 12-speaker audio; wireless charging; Smart Key Card key.

Engine

The Honda Civic 2022 is equipped with a 1.5L VTEC TURBO turbocharged engine, producing 176 Hp capacity and up to 240 Nm of torque, higher than the 10th generation. The power is transmitted to the 2 front wheels through the front wheels. CVT continuously variable transmission.
