COVID-19 leaves sequelae in many parts of the human body

Post-COVID-19 sequelae not only affect the lungs or other respiratory organs, but are also recognized in most parts of the human body such as the brain, heart, kidneys and even hair.

The researchers compared and analyzed 3 groups, including the group of people infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the group with the flu, and the group without the disease. Compared with the two groups without the disease, the group with COVID-19 had a higher risk of experiencing olfactory disorders, bronchiectasis, pneumonia, hair loss… from 3 to 9 times. According to research, most of these syndromes occur within 3 months of illness.

Scientists recommend that people who have symptoms for 3 months after contracting COVID-19 should be tested to see if it is a post-COVID-19 sequelae.
