This week, BMW simultaneously announced the new 7-Series, the all-electric i7 version and the high-performance M configuration for both versions. Looking back at the completely new generation Mercedes-Benz S-Class that debuted last year, the car has been open to the public for a while, but the top options in the high-performance AMG lineup have yet to be announced.
According to Motor1, while rival BMW 7-Series M760e uses a 3.0L I-6 engine, the upcoming AMG S63 has definitely chosen the V8 engine as the heart of the hybrid powertrain.
In terms of design, the new Mercedes-AMG S63 will not surprise users based on what we have seen on the test version. The chassis still clearly carries the S-Class sound but with some sportier details, most notably the Panamericana radiator and quad exhaust. In addition, this version will also be lowered and replaced with high-performance brakes.
The capacity of the Mercedes-AMG S63 2022 is rumored at 700 horsepower, there are also rumors about an even more powerful S73 version with a capacity of about 800 horsepower, but this information cannot be verified. The V12 has completely disappeared from the AMG S-Class lineup (now exclusive to the Maybach S-Class and armored S-Class Guard).
If the above parameters are true, the Mercedes-AMG S63 2022 will completely crush the newly announced BMW M760e rival (571 hp, 800 Nm). The car is expected to launch in the late 2022 period.
