I have been a bride for nearly 10 years now, during that time I was completely loved by my parents, siblings, and relatives on the husband’s side. Everyone praises me for being hard-working and filial to my husband’s family… My father-in-law and mother-in-law also create conditions for me to do a lot of good in my role.

My husband and I are also very compatible, my husband is 3 years older than me, his behavior is very mature, he loves his wife and children. He also encourages and helps me with housework. I have a warm, happy second family like now, so I feel very happy.

But all of a sudden, a few weeks ago, I went up to the roof to dry clothes, carrying a pot of heavy clothes, when I heard my father-in-law calling someone. I didn’t want to interrupt, so I stopped to wait for my father-in-law to finish before I went to the yard to dry clothes.

My father-in-law said to someone with a very sweet voice: “I always want to be with you, take care of you and your children. One day I will go back to your mother and child to live in old age, but I will also be with you. I’m tired of living with my wife and children. Please wait patiently for me, I will gradually collect money to come back to you later.”

When my father-in-law finished talking, he sat there and smoked a cigarette. I was shocked at what I just heard, but tried to stay calm, pretending I had just stepped up by placing the moving laundry in the door to the drying yard. When my father-in-law saw his daughter-in-law, he hurriedly returned to the house. Just drying the clothes, but my hands and feet were shaking, it took forever to dry.

That night, I told my husband what I had heard, he was also very surprised and shocked. I just hope to find a way for my father-in-law to cut off from outsiders. But ironically, the very next night my family held a family meeting. In front of everyone, my mother-in-law asked my father-in-law to confess the fact that there were people outside, how long ago…

My father-in-law immediately became very angry, shouted at his wife and children: “You and the kids don’t listen to nonsense, I don’t have anyone. Will everyone let me live in this house? I quit If you really go, don’t blame me!”.

When my sister-in-law saw this, she advised her father: “If you have a boyfriend or not, you will know for yourself. In the past, when you were young, you wouldn’t say anything, but now that you’re old, you have a boyfriend, but you reveal it to the outside and lose face. We don’t blame him, just hope he has it, so please cut it off and live peacefully until the end of your life with your children and grandchildren.”

My father-in-law still won’t admit to having a girlfriend. Since that day, my mother-in-law and father-in-law have not said a word to each other. The family atmosphere is always tense. At first, my family believed me, but before my father-in-law’s denial, people began to consider me as the cause of everything. My father-in-law hates me too.

I suddenly felt stupid, knowing that I shouldn’t have told anyone about it. Now that I’m in this situation, is there any way for me to be vindicated? What do I have to do to make my family as peaceful as before?
