Making up stories of inheriting hundreds of billions of assets to cheat

According to the case file, in early 2019, due to debt, Thuy had the intention to cheat and appropriate other people’s property to pay debts and spend.

Thuy told the story of inheriting a huge fortune of a couple in Ho Chi Minh City, including 189 billion VND, 5 super luxury cars, 15 luxury motorbikes, 15 expensive phones and 15 gold coins. However, the process of receiving inheritance property requires money to settle.

Thuy tricked Mrs. BTH (Residence in Nhan Thanh commune, Yen Thanh) to transfer money to her in order to promptly settle the work, she will receive 79 billion VND and many other assets.

Seeing that the amount received was too large, Ms. H. repeatedly transferred to her account and someone else gave Thuy a total amount of 742 million dong.

With the same scenario as above, Mr. BHH (Mrs. H’s brother) also transferred Thuy nearly 4.9 billion VND to receive 57 billion VND with a luxury car and motorbike.

After receiving money from Ms. H.’s sisters, Thuy thought of many reasons for not completing the procedure to receive inheritance. By mid-2021, the victim knew she had been tricked, so she reported Thuy’s behavior to the police.

At the trial, Thuy said that because of debt, she devised this scenario to get money to pay off the debt and spend it.
