Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presided over the welcoming ceremony for the Japanese Prime Minister
This morning (May 1), at the Presidential Palace, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hosted an official welcome ceremony for Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh invited Prime Minister Kishida Fumio to step on the red carpet to the podium, students with colorful flags in their hands waved to the two Prime Ministers. Military music plays the national anthems of the two countries. The two leaders walked together to salute the Vietnamese flag.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh invited the Japanese Prime Minister to review the Honor Team of the Vietnam People’s Army. The two leaders introduced each other the members of high-level delegations from the two countries attending the welcoming ceremony.
After that, the two Prime Ministers returned to the podium to witness the welcome parade of the Honor Team of the Vietnam People’s Army.
After the official welcome ceremony, the two Prime Ministers moved to the Government headquarters to plant souvenir trees. The two leaders then held talks, witnessed the signing of documents and met with the press. The Japanese Prime Minister will greet Vietnamese senior leaders and participate in a number of activities on the sidelines of the visit.
This is the first visit to Vietnam by Mr. Kishida Fumio as Prime Minister of Japan since taking office (October 2021), and also in response to the official visit to Japan of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh (May). November 2021.
The visit aims to deepen Vietnam-Japan relations and promote the implementation of the results of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s official visit to Japan; strengthening Vietnam – Japan political trust and good relations between the two countries’ senior leaders on the basis of “feelings, sincerity, trust”; strengthen substantive cooperation in all fields, meeting the interests and aspirations of the two peoples.
