Japan welcomes foreign tourists from June, Laos relaxes epidemic prevention regulations

Laos relaxes epidemic prevention regulations for tourists

In order to create more favorable conditions for tourists, on May 6, the Lao Government decided to further relax measures to prevent COVID-19.

Accordingly, this Southeast Asian country will lift the isolation requirement for foreign tourists and Lao citizens with negative COVID-19 test results after entry.

However, upon arrival in Laos, visitors will still have to take an RT-PCR test. While waiting for test results, visitors do not have to stay in the isolation area as before. If the test results are negative, travelers will be allowed to move freely, but still have to wear health monitoring devices.

The Lao Ministry of Health said that the country is gradually easing restrictive measures, but is still closely monitoring outbreak trends, including the emergence of new variants and research measures to support the outbreak. future disease prevention and control.
