Lam Dong withdraws many tourism and resort projects that are behind schedule

On May 6, the People’s Committee of Lam Dong province said it had made a decision to withdraw all 768.2 hectares of land in Quoc Oai and My Duc communes, Da Teh district, which had previously been given to the Gold and Silver Investment Joint Stock Company. Also in this phase, the People’s Committee of Lam Dong province issued a decision to withdraw another project with an area of ​​104.7 hectares of private enterprise Anh Hai in Loc Phu commune, Bao Lam district because the above enterprise has implemented the project. inconsistent with the contents of the investment certificate, behind schedule, allowing forests to be destroyed or encroached upon, or failing to comply with financial obligations to the State. Forests in the area assigned by Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee to Anh Hai Private Enterprise to implement the project in recent years have been continuously destroyed and encroached on a large scale, causing serious damage to forest resources and forestry land.

Previously, in March 2022, Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee decided to withdraw 3 tourism and resort projects at Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area due to behind schedule and unfeasible.

Those are 3 projects of resorts, conferences – seminars, hotels of international standards of Dat Viet Joint Stock Company – VP; The APU Cultural Village of the Royal Saigon Da Lat Joint Stock Company and the Vinpearl Dalat Resort and Ecotourism Complex.

Through reviewing all investment activities at Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area, the authorities noted that after 18 years of operation, Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area has a total of 37 investment projects approved by the Provincial People’s Committee. granted investment certificates with the total initial capital expected to be over 10,690 billion VND. Of which, 13 projects have been completed and put into operation, 24 projects behind schedule have not been put into business according to the issued investment certificates.

From 2005 up to now, Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee has assigned 488 projects to 473 enterprises related to forests and forestry land, and at the same time recovered 208 projects with a total area of ​​30,469 ha (including 172 projects to recover the entire forest land). 26.226ha and 36 projects partially recovered (4,242ha) due to enterprises not implementing projects or implementing behind schedule, not in accordance with investment certificates, allowing forests to be destroyed or encroached on…
