This morning (May 8), Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ea Bok Commune, confirmed that there had been a drowning incident in this commune that killed three young children in a family.

The victims include: Nguyen Van Nghia (2010), Nguyen Van An (2012) and Nguyen Van Hieu (2013). All 3 children are the children of Mr. Nguyen Van Truong and Ms. Nguyen Thi Linh, currently 3 children are studying at Phan Chu Trinh Primary School, Ea Hu Commune, Cu Kuin District.

According to Mr. Dung, the incident happened last night (May 7), when Truong’s family did not see his child back, so they shouted for everyone to find and when they reached the shore of the pond, people scooped themselves 500m away from home, suddenly discovered slippers. On the shore, everyone went down to find and at 8 pm on the same day the bodies of 3 children were picked up.

Talking about Truong’s family situation, Mr. Dung said, Truong and his wife have 5 children, the first 3 sons died yesterday and the last 2 nieces were born 7 months old, the family Truong is also not well off because both husband and wife are hired workers.

“After the incident happened, the People’s Committee of Ea Bhok Commune initially supported the family with 5 million VND and now the government is calling for organizations, individuals, sponsors… to help Truong’s family. . In addition, the commune also sent forces down to the house to help the family bury the grandchildren, “said Mr. Dung.
