Nghe An: Suspect of mentally ill child stabbing mother to death with a knife

Going to his mother’s house, the mentally ill son in Trung Thanh commune (Yen Thanh district, Nghe An) suddenly stabbed the victim to death with a knife.
On May 8, information from a leader of the People’s Committee of Trung Thanh Commune (Yen Thanh District, Nghe An) said that a murder had occurred in the area, causing one death.
Initial information said, at about 11:30 on May 8, Mr. Nguyen Huu T. (SN 1967) went to his mother’s house, Mrs. Tr.TH (SN 1928, residing in Hoang Dieu hamlet, Trung Thanh commune). Here, Mr. T. suddenly attacked Mrs. H with a fruit knife.

Discovering the incident, relatives took Ms. H. to the emergency room, but the victim did not survive due to her severe injuries.
Upon receiving the news, Yen Thanh District Police, in collaboration with professional units (Nghe An Provincial Police) were present at the scene to investigate and clarify. It is known that Mrs. T. lives alone, has 8 children.
“Mr. Nguyen Huu T. was mentally ill. After the incident, this man was arrested by the police. Currently, the authorities are still carrying out the autopsy to investigate and clarify the case”, the leader of Trung Thanh Commune People’s Committee added.
