Meet the tallest dog in the world

Zeus – a two-year-old Great Dane dog in the state of Texas, USA has been recognized by Guinness World Records as the tallest living dog in the world with a height of 1,046 meters. Zeus was awarded his certificate on March 22.

Brittany Davis, the owner of Zeus, said: “Zeus has been impressive in size since we adopted him. It has huge feet.” Now, Zeus has become a local celebrity, always receiving a certain amount of attention when accompanying the Davis family to the traditional markets.

According to the American Kennel Club, the Great Dane breed is descended from medieval hunting dogs. Despite being famous for their remarkable height compared to other species, they often suffer from many health problems and have a shorter than average life expectancy. Coincidentally, the tallest dog in the world ever recorded is also named Zeus, of the Great Dane breed and has a height of 111.8cm.
