Love changes the lives of autistic couple

Rebecca Preedy and Mitchell Davidson met during a disability program last year. Since then, the two have always wanted to be together.

Not only has autism, Davidson also has hydrocephalus, and Preedy has cerebral palsy and frequent seizures. But since Brother Davidson, Preedy has not had many seizures anymore. She said: “There is a change in me. I am calmer, happier. He told me that, as long as you are with me, everything is not important.”

Mr. Davidson’s mother – Karenne Hills also noticed a change, no longer seeing her child as someone who needs to be taken care of, now she sees that he is able to take care of others.

“I find them to be a perfect match. Mitch is really happy, I see her working so hard for Rebecca and I’m really proud of the way she’s taken care of her.”

After many efforts to pursue, Mr. Davidson bought a ring on Valentine’s Day, and the two became engaged. In the short term, the couple wants to live together in a disability care center to learn some life skills. Their determination brought peace of mind to Davidson’s mother. “As I got older, I always worried about what would happen to him once I was out of this world, but now I think he’s going to be fine,” said Karenne Hills.
