How did you feel when you were invited to be the host of the 31st SEA Games Opening Ceremony – the region’s biggest sporting event in 2022?

– First of all, I am very honored to be able to contribute to an international event like SEA Games 31. Moreover, for not only me, SEA Games 31 also has a special meaning, as all activities If human life is temporarily frozen after 2 years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the organization of such a large sports festival also has a symbolic meaning of “revival”, demonstrating the strength of solidarity that is difficult to overcome. human submission.

My chest is probably a little choked with pride. Ever since I first stepped on the stage 10 years ago until now, my heart has always been pounding before stepping on the stage. But with my personality, the more epic the show, the greater the pressure… the more excited I am. I like the feeling of conquest.

How have you improved your foreign language skills to be considered as one of the best bilingual MCs at the moment?

– I learn foreign languages ​​in a very natural way, because I love cinema and literature very much. When I was in school, I spent a lot of time watching movies and reading novels in English. There was also a time when I planned to study abroad, so I had to invest in studying and taking English exams for academic purposes. Since 2010, my TOELF/iBT score has been 105/120. Until now, I still use English every day, still keep the habit of watching movies, reading books in English.

Since when was your bilingual programming ability confirmed?

– I’ve been bilingual since the first days of holding a mic. But 5 years ago, I was given the position of Host of the MAMA – Mnet Asian Music Awards event taking place in Vietnam. This is also the first international event I take on as a presenter. Since then, my bilingualism has become more known and trusted.

Because of that, I have been given many opportunities to lead bilingually at international events, which are also major milestones in my career such as the VinFuture Award Ceremony, also known as the Vietnamese Nobel Prize, and the coming soon. SEA Games 31.

Hosting a program at a big event, having to use multiple languages ​​always has certain challenges, or problems. How do you prepare to be proactive about tonight’s events?

– As a Vietnamese, of course I am interested in the SEA Games when Vietnam is the host country this year, so the information about this event has been noticed by me early on. Moreover, as a journalist, I also have the skills to grasp important and official information about the event, helping me to convey the message of the SEA Games in the most accurate way.

And to be sure, we together with the SEA Games organizers spent many days and nights editing the script, in parallel with practicing and reviewing thoroughly to ensure the least incidents. In the end, I believe that with our experience and ability to handle situations and you lead Phi Linh, we are strong enough to stand on such a big stage.

Have you hosted many shows with Phi Linh before? And how do you feel about her?

– Phi Linh is a sharp, professional female MC, I am also especially impressed with the “fastidious” in Phi Linh’s work. Phi Linh and I are not only colleagues, but also longtime brothers. We get along well not only on stage, but also share our views on life and profession. To tell the truth, I am happy and assured to have Phi Linh accompany me on the opening night.

Do you still remember the memories of the first SEA Games held in Vietnam, when you were a young man? And what do you expect from this SEA Games?

– It’s been too long, maybe I can’t remember it all, but the melody of the 22nd SEA Games song still lingers in my mind. Regarding the upcoming SEA Games, I hope that Vietnamese and ASEAN athletes will achieve the best results, worthy of their efforts. Especially about Vietnamese football, I hope that the national team can touch the championship for the second time in a row.

My family is busy when everyone is free

After 10 years coming to the MC job, he has both a position, reputation and a good income life. When you first started your career, was there a time when you had a difficult time and thought you could not pursue this job?

– Difficulties are many, but when I have overcome it, I no longer think about it, but consider it a lesson learned. However, I never thought I would give up this job, because from the experiences shared by my predecessors, I realized that everyone will have difficult times. It is important that we are consistent and serious with our profession, “fire tests gold, hardship tries”. Career will not be silver with me.

Choosing a wife to follow the TV career, is your family’s life busier and busier than others? How do you spend time with your family?

– How should I put it, due to the nature of our profession, we are busy when everyone is free, and free when everyone is busy. Due to the luck of the same profession, our busy – leisurely rhythms are quite similar, so it is not too difficult to arrange time for family. Only I travel more often for work than my wife, so whenever I have time, I usually like to stay at home, making up for the days away.

Marriage is becoming more and more fragile by the day. As a man, in your opinion, what is important to keep the family happy?

– To keep a happy family needs many factors, but I think everything comes from love, love your partner, love your family. If not in love, I think it is difficult for a man to fulfill his family 100%.
