Talking to VietNamNet, Mr. Huynh Minh Chin – Deputy Director of Binh Duong Department of Health said that after assessing the epidemic situation in the locality, the number of Covid-19 cases has decreased significantly, no new cases have been reported. If anyone has died in the past few days, the health sector is expected to dissolve these medical stations or convert their functions from June 30.
“Recently, we had a meeting with localities on the dissolution of mobile medical stations, most of the localities agreed on this policy. At this point, the Department of Health will submit a report to the Provincial People’s Committee for advice on dissolving the station,” said Mr. Chin.
Before consulting for dissolution, Binh Duong Department of Health also advised the Provincial People’s Committee to establish and convert the mobile medical station model into a fixed medical station to continue performing the task of protecting and taking care of patients. people’s health accordingly in the new situation.
Specifically, the Department of Health has proposed 3 grassroots medical options. The first is to increase the staffing of health stations in communes, wards and townships. Secondly, communes and wards with large population (over 50,000 people) establish health stations to enhance service delivery capacity. The third is to establish more health stations in communes, wards and townships on the basis that there are already fixed medical stations.
Regarding the issues after dissolving the mobile medical station, Mr. Chin said there was a plan to deal with human resources and facilities.
Accordingly, medical equipment and supplies will be returned to the district, town and city health centers because these centers were previously lent to the station for use.
Regarding human resources, currently mobile health stations have two workforces: medical staff and unskilled workers. After the dissolution, medical staff will be facilitated to recruit into local medical centers to continue serving in the health sector. With unskilled workers (mainly militia, union members, members of the Red Cross,…) after completing the support, these subjects will return to work before joining the health station.
According to statistics of the Binh Duong health sector, in the past few days, there have been less than 15 cases of F0 hospitalized each day at treatment facilities, with no deaths due to Covid-19.
