6 people confirmed dead in the explosion of a chemical plant in Slovenia

Service chemical plant explosion happened on May 12 at the Melanin factory in the town of Kocevje. This factory specializes in the production of chemicals used in paint, rubber and a number of other industries.

Police found the bodies of five people missing after the explosion. The sixth person died from his injuries. In addition, five other people were injured, one of them still in serious condition, STA reported.

Slovenian firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, while army soldiers disinfected the surrounding area.
