Proposal to increase the price of car inspection service
The Ministry of Finance proposes to increase the price of inspection services for motor vehicles and vehicles that fail the first inspection.
The Ministry of Finance is consulting with the draft Circular amending Circular 238/2016 stipulating the price of technical safety and environmental protection inspection services for motor vehicles (XCG), equipment and motorbikes. specialized use in circulation; evaluate and calibrate XCG testing equipment, in which it is proposed to increase the price of XCG technical safety inspection service.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Finance proposes to increase the price of technical safety and environmental protection inspection services for circulating XCGs as follows (Table 1):

The draft also proposes that the inspected XCGs that do not meet technical safety and environmental protection standards must be repaired and repaired for re-inspection. The price of the re-inspection is calculated as follows:
– If the re-inspection is carried out on the same day (during working hours) as the first inspection, then: exemption for the 1st and 2nd re-inspection; re-inspection from the 3rd time onwards, each re-inspection shall be charged 50% of the price specified in Table 1.
– If the re-inspection is conducted after 1 day and within 7 days (excluding the day off according to the regime) from the date of the first inspection, each re-inspection will be charged 50% of the price specified in Table 1. .
– If the re-inspection is conducted after 7 days (excluding the day off according to the regime) from the date of the first inspection, the inspection price is calculated as the first inspection.
– Motor vehicle inspection for issuance of Certificate of technical safety and environmental protection (with a term of no more than 15 days) is charged at 100% of the price specified in Table 1.
– Technical inspection and quality assessment at the request of organizations and individuals are collected at an agreed price but not exceeding 3 times the price specified in Table 1.
