The intersection to the southwest of Bac Ninh city is the first roundabout and underpass system in Bac Ninh. Seen from above, the traffic system at this intersection is quite “interlaced”.
This intersection is considered one of the largest intersections connecting Hanoi – Bac Giang Expressway, National Highway 18, Noi Bai – Ha Long Expressway and the Southwest Urban Area (Bac Ninh City).
The underground tunnel at the intersection of Hanoi – Bac Giang expressway and National Highway 18 has a length of 202m, construction cost of more than 100 billion VND.
The underground section serves vehicles from Hanoi – Bac Giang expressway to National Highway 18 and vice versa.
The above project is considered a key traffic work of Bac Ninh province.
The underground tunnel is designed with 2 lanes in each direction, 1 emergency stop lane for vehicles in trouble.
Since being put into operation until now, the underground tunnel has reduced the traffic congestion here.
