Meritorious Artist Phuong Loan was hospitalized after being involved in a traffic accident while performing. The female artist was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury, broken jawbone.
Sharing with VietNamNet, editor Hoang Song Viet said Meritorious Artist Phuong Loan had a traffic accident on May 19 in Ca Mau city. The female artist was quickly taken to a local hospital, then transferred to Cho Ray Hospital for emergency treatment.
“Phuong Loan was invited to perform in Thoi Binh, Ca Mau. Due to difficult roads, cars could not get to the venue, so the organizers sent motorbike drivers to pick them up. Phuong Loan’s ao dai was suddenly caught by the wheel, causing me to fall,” he shared.
Also according to composer Hoang Song Viet, Meritorious Artist Phuong Loan suffered a traumatic brain injury, broken jawbone and broken finger bones. She was actively treated by doctors, had an x-ray of her brain and is now out of danger. However, the female artist’s health is still weak, cannot speak and needs to be monitored in the next few days.

Phuong Loan’s real name is Dang Thi Phuong Loan, born in 1968. The female artist has been singing since she was 13 years old, known for her strong voice, sweet voice, and sincere and rustic acting. For more than 40 years in the profession, Phuong Loan has won many awards such as: gold medal of the National Professional Theater Festival in 1990, 1995, 2000, 2002; Award for Outstanding Actor in 1995; Medal For Cultural Cause 2003; Golden Apricot Award 2007… She is famous for her role as Da Huong in The nameless flower reformation, Phuong Tam in the book Let’s love each other sincerely, Dang Thi Hue in the book Long Tri festival night. In 2021, the female artist left her mark when she returned to act in the play Lady Se Da.
