Technical subcommittee of SEA Games 31 submitted a report to the Congress Organizing Committee about the introduction of athletes with the best achievements at the congress. It clearly states: With the slogan “For a stronger Southeast Asia” and due to the nature of the organization of the 31st SEA Games after the epidemic, the athletes all tried their best to achieve high results. Therefore, the Technical and Professional Subcommittee nominated the following 4 athletes to be honored at the closing ceremony.

Nguyen Thi Oanh MAI HANH

Athletics has 2 athletes, including Female athlete Nguyen Thi Oanhborn on August 15, 1995, Vietnamese nationality, won 3 gold medals in 3 events of 1,500 m, 5,000 m and 3,000 m over obstacles, breaking a SEA Games record in the 3,000 m obstacle course.

Male athlete Joshua Robert Atkinson, born on May 25, 2003, Thai nationality, won 4 gold medals in 4 events of 400 m, 800 m, 4×400 m medley relay and men’s 4×400 m relay, breaking a record. sea ​​Games in the 4×400 m medley relay.
