France plans to guide a lost killer whale on the Seine back to the sea using the sounds of its fellow humans.

Killer whales are one of the most agile and intelligent species in the animal world. They are known as the fierce sea god, ‘nightmare’, with many creatures living in the water. It is a rare occurrence for killer whales to stray into a river.

Recently, local residents along the Seine River, France were surprised to see the appearance of a lost killer whale in the river.

The incident caused a stir, attracting many people to come to see the whale with their own eyes and take pictures.

Meanwhile, local officials plan to work with scientists at home and abroad to find a way to return the whale to its correct marine environment.

After meeting with scientists and marine animal experts, they decided to choose a way to guide the lost killer elephants into the river back to the sea with the sound of their own kind.

Representative of the project team, Mr. Gerard Mauger said: “Finding a solution to try to bring whales back to salt water is really complicated, we have to calculate to shorten the time to bring back to the sea. while making sure it doesn’t stress the whales.”

The team of experts will conduct remote monitoring of killer whales using drones, while emitting killer whale sounds to guide it back to the sea.

An expert involved in bringing whales back to sea said: “The use of non-invasive methods from a distance of a few hundred meters will not have much effect on whales. If using a guide boat, it is necessary to apply killing whales, which exacerbates her stress and jeopardizes her safety.”

When straying into freshwater habitats, the whale’s health declines. The whale cannot find enough food in the river, which further harms its health.

According to experts, the lost killer whale is a male individual, about 4 meters long. In the first sighting, the killer whale appeared in the river area between the port of Le Havre and the town of Honfleur in Normandy, France. It then traveled dozens of kilometers upstream to the west of Rouen.
