326 Chinese traders come to Bac Giang to buy lychee in 2022

The Immigration Department (Ministry of Public Security) has just sent a written reply to the Bac Giang Department of Foreign Affairs about the settlement of foreigners entering Vietnam to purchase lychee.

Accordingly, the Immigration Department has agreed to allow 223 traders (both Chinese nationals) to enter Vietnam to buy lychee in Bac Giang. All these traders will receive visas at Huu Nghi border gate (Lang Son) with the symbol VR.

Previously, the Immigration Department, the Ministry of Public Security also approved for 103 Chinese traders to be granted visas to enter Vietnam through Huu Nghi border gate to buy lychees in Bac Giang.

Up to this point, 326 Chinese traders have been allowed to enter Vietnam and come to Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang) to buy lychees.

According to information from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Bac Giang province, in 2022, Bac Giang province will continue to maintain an area of ​​​​28,300 hectares of lychee cultivation with an estimated output of over 160,000 tons. from May 20 to June 20, the main season is expected from June 10 to July 25, 2022.

In which, 15,400 hectares of safe litchi according to VietGAP standards with an output of about 112,900 tons; lychee production meets GlobalGAP standards with an area of ​​82 hectares, an output of 1,000 tons.

Up to now, Bac Giang province maintains production of 18 planting areas with an area of ​​218 hectares; output of 1,600 tons for export to EU and US markets; continue to direct 30 planting area codes, area 219.45 ha, output 1,800 tons for export to the Japanese market; maintains 149 growing area codes and 300 packaging facilities eligible to export to China with an output of about 95,000 tons.

In 2021, despite being heavily affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, Bac Giang lychee is considered a good season and a good price. Total production of lychee consumed reached 215,852 tons (an increase of over 50,850 tons, equivalent to an increase of 30.8% in production compared to 2020). The selling price has always remained stable from the beginning to the end of the crop, the average price of the whole crop is 19,800 VND/kg. Total revenue from lychee and ancillary services is estimated at 6,821 billion VND.
