Anthony Presley is an American photographer and filmmaker with a great love for Japan. He first came to this Asian country as a child and was immediately captivated by its beauty, culture, nature and architecture. Therefore, when starting his artistic activities, Anthony cherished the intention of returning, feeling every corner of life in Japan and capturing everyday moments.
Anthony spent 2 years in Japan, carrying a camera, wriggling around the “caves and alleys”. He was especially fascinated by the night scenes on the streets of Japan. Those are the shimmering and fanciful alleys, subtly lonely beauty, quiet but no less charming and impressive.
“As soon as I stepped out of Tokyo Station, I burst into tears because the wish I had cherished for 20 years came true,” he said. Before coming here, he constantly came up with ideas and explored different shooting styles such as people, nature, objects, urban contexts…

Anthony Presley’s work has participated in more than 30 film festivals and 20 photo exhibitions. His work has been nominated and won 17 awards. Currently, he is working on three short films, a book on photography and an art exhibition.
