More than 1,000 first candidates participated in the 10th grade exam of the specialized school system at the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences & Humanities

On May 29, 1,083 candidates officially took the exam to spend one of the 180 criteria in the specialized and high-quality system of gifted high school Humanities and Social Sciences.

Candidates will take 4 written exams including: Literature, Mathematics, English and specialized subjects (Language Arts, History, Geography). In the morning, candidates take a multiple-choice test in Math (45 minutes), multiple-choice in English (45 minutes) and essay on Literature (90 minutes). In the afternoon, students will take a specialized exam in the form of an essay lasting 150 minutes.

The number of candidates registered for the exam for the Geography class is 199, the History major: 209, the Literature major: 675. Meanwhile, the target of the Geography class is 35 students, History: 35, Literature: 75, High quality: 30 students.

With high-quality classes, the school will recruit candidates who do not pass the specialized program, whose test scores are 4 or higher in each subject, and who register for admission to high-quality classes. The admission score for this class is the sum of three general subjects, excluding specialized subjects.

In 2022, the High School for the Gifted of Social Sciences and Humanities (University of Social Sciences and Humanities-VNU) enrolls 180 students in grade 10, an increase of 30 targets compared to 2021.

The school selects according to the principle of taking the total score from high to low until the end of the quota for each specialized class.

The matriculation score for specialized classes is the sum of three common Math, Literature and English tests together with the subject scores (multiplied by a factor of two), up to a maximum of 50.

Candidates must complete the exam, no subject less than 4, especially the subject of 6 or more. Before 5:00 p.m. on June 10, the school will announce exam results, admission results for specialized classes and high-quality admission information.

This year the school does not add priority points, no direct admission
