AP reported that many people gathered at Weathers Funeral Home in Salem City, Indiana – USA to commemorate the boy. Above the coffin are flowers and stuffed animals.

The boy was later buried at a cemetery in Salem, a city about 55 kilometers from Louisville, Kentucky.

An autopsy revealed that she died from an electrolyte imbalance, most likely from gastritis or vomiting and diarrhea leading to dehydration. Signs that she may have died before being put in the suitcase.
