Deputy Minister Do Xuan Tuyen runs the Ministry of Health

On June 7, the Ministry of Health said that the Politburo agreed to assign Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen, Standing Deputy Minister of Health, to temporarily run the ministry’s affairs. One day ago, the Party Central Committee decided to expel the Party for Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Long, Minister of Health.

Thus, the Ministry of Health currently has 4 Deputy Ministers, Mr. Tran Van Thuan, Nguyen Truong Son, Do Xuan Tuyen and Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien Huong. Mr. Nguyen Truong Son recently submitted his resignation letter to the Government Office on 6/6.

Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen, 56 years old, graduated from Military Medical Academy and held the positions of Deputy Director of Hung Yen Medical Center, Director of Hung Yen Medical Center, Vice Chairman of Hung Yen City People’s Committee, Chairman of Hung Yen Medical Center. People’s Committee of Hung Yen City, Head of Propaganda Department of Provincial Party Committee, Head of Organization Department of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee.

In June 2016, Mr. Tuyen worked as Permanent Deputy Secretary of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee, then elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council.

In 2019, the Prime Minister assigned and appointed Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Council of Hung Yen province, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Health.
