Poland’s huge aid, the US tells more about the source of money for Ukraine

President Joe Biden on April 28 asked the US Congress to quickly approve a new military assistance package for Ukraine worth up to 33 billion USD. He admitted that $33 billion “isn’t cheap” but necessary. Of that, more than $20 billion will be spent on weapons, ammunition and other military support packages. The figure of $8.5 billion will go to direct economic support to the Ukrainian government and $3 billion will be used by Washington for humanitarian aid and food security.

White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said the US government is currently “running out of money” for aid to Ukraine. “The US government needs Congress to approve the $33 billion request as soon as possible because there is only $250 million left from the previous support package for Ukraine” – radio station RT of Russia quoted Ms. Jen Psaki as emphasizing.
