In September 2021, a TikTok account named @capufamily18, owned by a Vietnamese international student in Russia, posted a short video introducing this famous market.
In it, she shared: “What’s fun in Russia? Today I will take my relatives to visit a famous and largest wholesale and retail market in Moscow city. It’s Sadovod market (meaning “Gardener”) Vietnamese people call it Chim market, why, I don’t know.
This market is very big, more than 40 hectares (equivalent to more than 400,000 square meters). Yet it is still under construction for further expansion. Working time is from 5am to 6pm, but in fact, people here work later.
There are many free bus routes from the metro stations to this market. Here, people sell everything from clothes, shoes, sports goods, to construction markets, food markets… Everything that anyone needs can be found. in this market”.

In another video, @capufamily18 also talked about some snacks and drinks at Chim market.
She said: “The market here often sells pomegranate juice. Each fruit is always fresh. People use a knife to cut off the stem. Then put it on the machine, use pressure to immediately have a delicious juice. The point is very fast but the downside is that it is a bit bitter because it is pressed with the shell. A 500ml bottle costs 110,000 VND. Freshness is off the table but the acidity is not mentioned. It is sour.
