Top 10 best-selling cars in April 2022

According to the sales report of the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), by the end of April 2022, the throne position in the top car has changed to a new owner and named the B-class model – Honda City. This is the first time this model has won the top spot this year with more than 3,000 vehicles sold, up 72% over the previous month (1,744 vehicles) and up 76% over the same period last year.

In second place is Toyota Vios with 2,522 cars sold in April 2022, an increase of nearly 300 cars compared to the previous month, this result has helped Vios increase 1 place in the ranking but still behind rival Honda City (nearly 500 cars).

Toyota Corolla Cross ranked 3rd with sales of 2,259 units, down more than 100 units compared to the previous month. Next is Honda CR-V with 2,093 units sold, an increase of more than 1,000 units compared to the previous month. This sales is partly due to the fact that in the past month, Honda has continuously reduced prices and deep promotions with the CR-V model.

In contrast, Hyundai Accent fell to 5th place with sales of only 1,999 vehicles. The crisis of semiconductor chip shortage has greatly affected Hyundai’s sales, causing Santa Fe and Tucson to leave the list of the top 10 best-selling cars of the month.

Notably, the “sales king” VinFast Fadil from the top position with sales of 2,567 cars in March 2022 has now plummeted to 8th place in the ranking when only 1,654 cars were sold in the previous year. April 2022, down nearly 1,000 vehicles compared to the previous month.
