In line with the desire to make the most of the land area through the construction of both residences and rentals of the owner, the architect designed a 2-storey building, which is provided with natural light through 2 indoor courtyards.
In particular, the main courtyard not only attracts natural light from the environment but also serves as a visual connection between the interior and exterior environments of the house. The openings at the front of the house enhance the light for the house.
The house has a dominant white paint tone, dotted with black carbon steel frames and warm red ceramic block walls.
The facade of the architecture is a garage with space for 2 cars. The first floor consists of 2 halls, connected by a spacious walkway leading to the main courtyard.
The toilet is located in the front lobby. The front lobby is connected to the garage through a carbon steel frame, which enhances the connection between the spaces.
The back room is integrated into the building’s kitchen, overlooking the courtyard.
The 2nd floor has a large room, which can be converted to the third bedroom through the door closure. The other two rooms can be flexibly converted into bedrooms or rentals, illuminated through the void.
The house is logically designed with a structure consisting of metal slats and their fences made of ceramic blocks. The first floor covering is prefabricated with polished machined concrete. Meanwhile, on the 2nd floor, the architects used laminate flooring for the dry area and porcelain tile for the wet area like the bathroom.
Large openings help to ventilate and attract the best natural light in the building. The architects used aluminum frames and tempered glass, creating open spaces, making the room feel more spacious and airy, especially provided with more natural light. In the courtyard, to ensure privacy without affecting ventilation and lighting, a solid ceramic brick wall was built.
Each line in the house is extremely simple but still exudes elegance. According to the architect, this flexible architecture for both residential and commercial purposes is extremely suitable for homeowners with reference land.
