What did China say about the US plane crash report?

The Global Times on May 18 quoted the US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) as confirming to the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) that it has not released any regulatory information. Investigate the cause of the crash of flight MU5735.

The NTSB’s response came after some US media reported that the tragic accident was “caused by someone intentionally”.

According to CAAC, NTSB insists it has not disclosed information about China Eastern Airlines plane crash investigation to any media. The NTSB added that it is cooperating with the CAAC investigation in accordance with the framework requirements of Annex 13 of the International Convention, and continues to provide technical assistance to help determine the cause of the accident.

Before that, newspaper The Washington Post “Flight data shows that someone in the cockpit deliberately crashed the China Eastern plane into the ground.”

CAAC announced that at present, the aircraft accident investigation department is examining the wreckage, classifying and assessing, analyzing flight data, experimenting and other related work according to the investigation process.

In addition, the Chinese investigative agency also invited NTSB investigators, as from the country where the aircraft was designed and manufactured, to assist.

“We will continue to maintain close communication with all parties involved in the investigation; conduct a scientific, rigorous, and orderly accident investigation; announce the progress of the investigation in a timely manner and in accordance with the Convention on International Civil Aviation as well as government disclosure requirements,” CAAC said.
