Copy/paste on Google Drive “cloud” has never been so easy thanks to… keyboard shortcuts-Information Technology

It’s hard to believe that Google Drive is now rolling out support for copy/paste keyboard shortcuts on the Chrome browser.

Follow The Verge, Google announced that they’ll be adding the ability to use keyboard shortcuts to cut, copy, and paste files in Drive, as long as you’re using Chrome. However, this feature is currently in the process of rolling out gradually to users and is not available at this time.

According to the Google post, when the feature becomes available you’ll be able to use the Ctrl/Cmd + C, X and V keyboard shortcuts to copy and move files just like other file managers. The company says the feature will be available to everyone by June 4.

You’ll be able to work with the file with your keyboard on Google Drive.

In addition to adding basic keyboard shortcuts, this feature will also work on different tabs of the browser. Google has also added a shortcut to open a folder on Drive as a new tab, Ctrl/Cmd + Enter. Even if you copy a file and paste it into the body of a Google Docs document or email, you’ll be able to insert the file’s title and link to it very quickly.

You can also paste shortcuts to files with the Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + V command.
