Bus plunges into cliff in India, 26 dead, 4 seriously injured

The bus carrying 28 passengers and two garage employees plunged into a 150-meter-deep gorge in Uttarkashi district, Uttarakhand state on the night of June 5. At the time of the incident, the car was moving to Yamunotri – a pilgrimage site. Currently, 4 lucky survivors are in critical condition.

Uttarakhand state official Pushkar Singh Dhami confirmed today: “A sad incident has happened involving a bus from Panna, Madhya Pradesh, carrying 30 people including the driver, which crashed into a cliff. We have received information that at least 25 people have died in this tragic tragedy.”

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that he would pay the relatives of each dead person 200,000 Rupees (equivalent to 2,500 US dollars) and the injured to 50,000 Rupees (equivalent to 643 US dollars).
