The Vietnamese team is psychologically stressed before the match against Japan

The first training session of the Vietnamese team in Japan ended early because of the weather. It rained heavily, the temperature dropped quickly, and the wind blew so hard that Coach Park Hang Seo had to let the students stop practicing after less than an hour on the field.

The possibility of rain tomorrow (March 27) in Tokyo is up to 60%, which can significantly affect the training plan of the Vietnamese team before the match against Japan.

The absence of the language assistant Le Huy Khoa also caused a lot of trouble. Coach Park Hang Seo does not have an interpreter, making it more difficult to convey information and communicate with the students. During team meetings, assistant Le Huy Khoa had to remotely support the Korean head coach by calling.

According to information from the Federation Vietnamese football (VFF), coach Park Hang Seo’s teachers and students are under psychological stress when they have to comply with the strict COVID-19 prevention regulations of the Japanese host. The 15-member F1 group is separated from the rest of the team, although they still practice together, they have to live and move separately. F1 players have to use their own changing rooms, ride their own cars, use their own elevators and eat in a separate area with the rest.

Meanwhile, language assistant Le Huy Khoa must quarantine in another hotel for 7 days. The Vietnam Football Federation is contacting the Japan Football Association – a strategic partner – for support.
