Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica – super car for the street

The sports car changes its appearance compared to the standard version, continues to use the mid-mounted V10 engine but adds a series of high-end equipment.

Before the launch of Tecnica, Lamborghini is planning or testing the Huracan Sterrato and Urus Evo models. Tecnica is a new version of the Huracan model, but a combination of the elder Evo RWD and STO, a model that converges on street performance and power performance on the track.

The Tecnica is based on the Evo RWD, but adds a host of equipment commonly found on high-end Huracans. The car still uses the naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine and rear-wheel drive system, but has been tweaked by 29 horsepower, producing 631 horsepower and 565 Nm of torque similar to the STO model.

The Italian automaker claims that Tecnica’s engine produces a powerful and sharp exhaust sound at high rpm. Acceleration from 0-100 km / h in 3.2 seconds, 0.1 seconds faster than Evo RWD but 0.3 seconds slower than STO, maximum speed 325 km / h.

On the outside, the Huracan Tecnica has a more harmonious design than its predecessors when there is no air intake on the roof or a large spoiler. But Lamborghini’s engineers tweaked a few details to give it a new look, including some borrowed from the limited models. In the front bumper, the Y-shaped detail below the headlights is inspired by the hybrid Sian and Terzo Millenio, while the side air vents are somewhat similar to the Huracan Performante. The rear detailing on the glass doors is taken from the Essenza SCV12, and the 20-inch Damiso diamond-cut wheels inspired by the Vision GT come with Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires.

At the rear, the engine cover has changed slightly, made of carbon instead of glass like the previous version, but flattened instead of sloping down the rear of the car, while adding engine radiator slots. The rear spoiler is lowered and painted in the same body color or optionally black. The exhaust is designed in a hexagonal shape – a shape commonly found in the interior of the Huracan.

Compared to the STO, the Tecnica’s spoiler is somewhat smaller, but Lamborghini claims that the wing will create 35% more downforce at the rear than the Evo RWD, while working with aerodynamic features. learning such as a new front splitter and underbody to reduce wind drag by 20%.

The weight of the car is also reduced thanks to the carbon roof, with dry weight at 1,379 kg, 10 kg lighter than the Evo RWD but 40 kg heavier than the STO. In addition, the black detail at the bottom of the windshield is for decorative purposes.

The interior compartment is almost unchanged, but the seats can be adjusted in height instead of sliding horizontally like the seniors. As for the digital dashboard, has been redesigned with reduced colors and improved visibility. The central entertainment screen supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa connectivity.

Tecnica is equipped with a range of modern technologies such as rear-wheel steering, torque vectoring technology (which changes torque for each half-axle electronically), carbon ceramic brakes with air vents that cooler and integrated control system LDVI (Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata).

Tecnica’s pricing hasn’t been announced at the moment, but it does allow customers to order and personalize with its Ad Personam program, which expects the first cars to be delivered to customers later this year.
