Knapper Ambassador enjoys Vietnamese pho cooked with American beef
US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc Knapper and his wife enjoyed pho made with American beef at a hotel in Hanoi last night (April 20).
The US Embassy, the California Dairy Association and the Nebraska Department of Agriculture, USA collaborated to organize a United Tastes promotional party to promote California wine and cheese and Nebraska beef.
“We are very proud of the relationship between the United States and Vietnam, especially in the agricultural trade, and are grateful for the opportunity to be able to bring the high-quality products of American farmers to the Vietnamese people. We believe that through these wonderful products, we will be able to introduce Vietnamese people to America. In the future, we will continue to find ways to expand agricultural exports to Vietnam,” said Mr. Knapper.
At the event, the US Ambassador and chef Steven Long explored the process of making a dish that combines American ingredients and Vietnamese flavors. The guests then enjoyed cheese products, wine and a variety of dishes cooked with Nebraska beef.
United Tastes is an initiative to market American agricultural products in the Vietnamese market. Through channels such as website and social media, the program offers friendly recipes and diverse stories about American agricultural products.
