Sharing about her marriage with her American husband, Nha Uyen was surprised when she revealed that before she met Aaron, she had loved a few people, knew enough bad people to know the value of a good person like her current husband.
“One of my ex-lovers is Aaron’s housemate. Remember, one day when I visited my boyfriend, Aaron came out of his room wearing only his underwear, his hair was messy. Seeing me, he panicked and ran into the hiding room.My first impression of Aaron was very bad.
For the second time, we met at the premiere of director Luu Huynh’s film “Married to a Man”. I went with my ex-boyfriend so I didn’t notice Aaron. At the end of the movie, he asked me: “What do you think?”, and then the two of them discussed the good movie like close friends who have seen each other for a long time. My boyfriend then left because he was angry.
About a year and a half after I broke up with my ex-boyfriend, Aaron worked on a theater project and invited me to choreograph. From that collaboration, I felt that he was too gentle and cute, so I decided to “crawl” first.
I deliberately confide my love story so that he can converse in reverse. At that time, I found out that he was in love with a Vietnamese actor. She’s gentle like a princess. I secretly thought: “Damn, if you like that style, you can’t like crazy people like me”. So, I gave up the idea, just kept the friendship. Yet, he “crawled” me again,” said writer/producer Nha Uyen.
“Soon, I fell in love with Aaron. If the people around me often called me black, ugly, and high cheekbones looked evil, Aaron always said I was beautiful. At first, I was shocked because I thought he was fake. creating, treating me, it took me 3 years to believe that his words for me were sincere.
Aaron showed me what love is. Before, when I loved others, I had to do what they liked. Aaron let me be me. I can do crazy things without him criticizing or forbidding. I am really happy and strive to live worthy of that love”, the female screenwriter confided.
According to Nha Uyen, the two dated for about 10 months, then got married in 2014, gave birth to their first daughter three years later and welcomed a second daughter after filming the movie “Brilliant Night” in 2019.
Talking about her profession, Nha Uyen shared: “In the acting profession, I am fortunate to have an understanding and sympathetic husband. My wife and I develop together and discuss many issues in both work and life. At home, I am the wife. , but when I’m on set, I’m Aaron’s actor, so I have to listen to the director’s way of doing things.
I’m not technically good yet but my husband is the opposite. We are like two poles negative – positive. I capture the soul of the work, and he helps me build and structure everything to create a brilliant Night!”.
Nha Uyen was born in 1990 in Chau Doc, An Giang. She attached herself to drama after graduating from the University of Theater and Cinema in Ho Chi Minh City. At the Santa Fe Film Festival 2022, USA, in addition to the actress award, Brilliant Night! also won the Best Story award.
Aaron used to work as a deputy director of variety shows such as: “Love story far away”, “To tomorrow”, “Saigon yo!
